A choice that can only bring about smiles and joy to the faces of gamers in the western side of the globe, Square Enix have stated how they plan to release their games simultaneously worldwide.

Blitzballer from Final Fantasy Republic reports that Yoichi Wada has said that Square Enix are aiming to make simultaneous releases a standard from Last Remnant and thereon.

The Last Remnant will be the first game to have a simultaneous worldwide release, pleasing gamers from all over the world, no doubt.

We can only hope that there are more releases like these from Square Enix. <3

As part of Famitsu's 1000th issue celebration, Square Enix artist, Tetsuya Nomrua has been asked to draw the cover of the issue. Nomura is the first game creator to draw Famitsu's cover artwork for the magazine. In the 1000th issue, he has also been interviewed, which sheds a little light on past projects and his art preferences, as well as some information about the characters of Final Fantasy XIII.

-While designing FFVII's Cloud, the development Team was absolutely baffled with the obstacle of how spikey to make Cloud's noggin. We can say thanks for leaving it how they did, now can't we? Any more spikes and he'd poke everyone's eyes out!

-Since people are used to seeing the uber hot CG creations of characters, he prefers not to be shown too often and thinks that the illustrations done by Amano are what people like to see.

-Nomura also goes further to say that he usually just draws with a mechanical pencil, scans the drawing, and digitally colours his artwork.

-He apparently buys games based on reviews by Famitsu. I guess that's kinda smart, but when you're rich, you'd think that you wouldn't have to be picky about buying crappy games. Oh well, whatever floats your boat, they say.

That was a nice list of fun facts, wasn't it? Anywho, moving onto the character information regardning Lightning and the Prince that some of the masses are already calling by "Storm."

Lightning will have muscular legs, and she isn't exactly a sweet rose. She'll apparently have plenty of thorns. She's pretty strict to herself and others around her, and she dislikes slackers. FFXIII's scenario writer wanted her to be more muscular and macho kind of weightlifting chick, but Nomura stated that he didn't think people would be so fond of her as a character if she was designed that way.

The Prince's clothing is going to be redesigned. He's also unlike Cloud or Squall, as some people are expecting. Nomura seems to think everyone's impression on him will change when they hear him speak, which is a strong, yet sparse piece of information. He says that many people may not like him. His name will also be related to weather just as Lightning's name is. Though people are already calling him Storm. Nomura says that he's gotten bored with his tradition of naming characters.

The next time Final Fantasy XIII info is released, Nomura says that the Prince's name will be revealed.

Angeal sounds like one hawt kind of brutha tbqh. I think he's probably going to become one of my favorite characters.

Zack sounds a little goofy, but I think it suits him well.

The new trailer for Advent Children Complete doesn't show us much we haven't seen already, but it's at least a reassurance that Advent Children's extended, high-res "complete" Blu-ray edition is still coming, and should be available sometime in 2008. ...

According to the newest Dengeki Playstation magazine, SE are releasing a visual Arts book called Cloud on the 14th of December for about 2000 some yen. The book will feature several SE games including the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series. It will also contain interviews with some of the cast from Crisis Core.

However, the stickler for this book is that it will also come with a bonus DVD complete with the promotional trailers for Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and Advent Children. Whether or not the trailers are the ones already shown to public, or those shown in the closed theatres remains to be known.

Tetsuya Nomura has mentioned in an interview with the people who distribute the Dengeki Magazine that in the installments of Fabula Nova Crystallis, that we will have a World Map to explore with an Airship. They also have the world map up and a test Airship flight with it. The world map that Nomura is working with is so large, Nomura had some troubles finding and working out where the first city was located and it seems that in some stage in Final Fantasy Versus XIII there will probably be a good old dogfight, something for the fans to really look forward to! I'm just hoping that they won't be unique engagements that only happen once in the entire game.

On a side note, was asked by his team if they're allowed to program the Playstation 3 with exclusivity in high priority; they wanted to know whether or not they would port the game. Nomura answered "Of course, Versus XIII is PS3 exclusive."
